Overnight Escalator Shut-Downs
Huntsman Hall is a 24-hour building with students using study rooms, lounges and public space at all hours of the day and night. To save energy, we have begun turning off the building's 6 escalators from 11:30pm to 6:30am all year round. This has resulted in savings of over $20,000 and 226,000 kWh each year.
